The Crypto Site Of The Month Award
This award is given out on a monthly basis to sites that stand out among other cryptozoology-based sites. This award does not mean that other sites are bad, it is just a way of being a "15 minutes of fame" for the awarded sites to congradulate them for their hard work.
Criteria For Selection:
-Each site awarded cannot appear more than once a year.
-To be awarded more than once, sites must have had significant improvement since last awarded.
-Sites will be awarded based primarely on scientific content, for their help in promoting serious cryptozoology on the net and secondly, for the overall look and appeal of the site.
Past Awarded Sites
-December 2002: Leut's Jersey Devil Page, Let the hunt begin!
-November 2002: Australian Yowie Research, since I saw them on a documentary lately :)
-October 2002: Centre for Fortean Zoology, What can I say? The English are cool.
-September 2002: Loch Ness Investigation, for Dick Raynor's admirable work at the Loch.
-August 2002: The Cryptozoologist, Again, Loren Coleman is the MAN in North American cryptozoology.
-July 2002: BigfootMuseum.com, hey, I always loved museums ;-)
-June 2002: Pib's Cryptozoology Page, for really good content and info.
-May 2002: BC Scientific Cryptozoology Club, for their relentless search.
-April 2002: Texas Bigfoot Research Center, for asking politely ;-)
-March 2002: Institut Virtuel de Cryptozoologie, for being a very informative site (the first francophone one highlighted here, too!).
-February 2002: Thylacines Forever, for promoting the importance of learning from the thylacine incident, as well as keeping the hopes up of rediscovering it.
-January 2002: Cryptozoology.com, for being such an interactive site that promotes individuals to find out more on cryptids in various ways.
